IDMI’s Manufacturing and Design Partner, Base 11 will be offering private tours of the Base 11 Innovation Center at UCI on May 24, 2017 from 5 to 7p.m.
Base 11 is a non-profit outreach organization that was created to unite America’s high-potential, low-resource students with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) opportunities. Its goal is to connect employers, academic institutions, and entrepreneurial opportunities with students who have demonstrated interest and talent, but lack access and resources to fulfill their maximum potential. The program offers three tracks to its students: academic-year internships and paid summer fellowships, a STEM entrepreneur program and a workforce development program. Success is defined in three categories: admission to a four-year college in a STEM related field; STEM-related employment; or creation of a STEM-related business.
The tour will feature presentations from students in Base 11’s Academic Year Internship and STEM Entrepreneur programs.
To attend the private tour, RSVP to reserve your spot. The tour will take place at UCI Innovation at the Cove, 5141 California Ave., Suite 200, Irvine, CA 92617
